Brad Scott is a globally experienced educator, researcher, and operations leader, currently serving as the Department Chair of Business Programs at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) in Asheville, North Carolina. At A-B Tech, he oversees business faculty and program management awarding degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting & Finance, and Sports Management. He serves on the General Education and Economic Development & Entrepreneurship committees. Brad has served full-time in the NC Community College System since January 2022, beginning his service as Faculty - Economics at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC). At RCCC, he was the 2023-2024 Excellence in Teaching award winner. His experiences in higher education have seen him lead strong student organizations that are geared towards workforce development, program-specific accreditation, and measuring general education outcomes.
Currently, Brad is a doctoral candidate concentrated in economics through the Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) program at Gardner-Webb University’s Godbold College of Business. His dissertation is using advanced Difference-in-Differences to measure predictor variables related to tourism in Venice, Italy, under the guidance of Dr. Anthony Negbenebor.
Prior to transitioning into higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic, Brad held leadership roles in international and domestic corporations, including Yum! Brands, M.H. Alshaya Company, and Carrols Corporation. His corporate experience spans financial management, operations management, and international business – having lived and worked in the United States, Kuwait, and Italy.
Brad Scott is a dual citizen of the United States and a European Union-member country.
