Brad Scott is an active researcher and faculty member of economics at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Professor Scott’s research work has been cited around the world in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, dissertations, and conferences. Take a look at his Google Scholar account to see the most up-to-date research work. His work has also been indexed via Scopus with Elsevier. 

At Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, Professor Scott leads the design and development of economics curriculum using evidence-based pedagogical practices and involving active learning techniques. His work has earned him recognition, based on his nominations from former students and colleagues, for the RCCC Teaching Excellence Award and ACBSP International Teaching Excellence Award. He also is a club adviser to the college chapter of Future Business Leaders of America – Collegiate (FBLA-C). His service to his college also extends to various other committees, including previous leadership roles in Faculty Association.

Outside of full-time faculty duties at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, Professor Scott also serves as an adjunct business instructor with the Godbold College of Business at Gardner-Webb University. At Gardner-Webb, Professor Scott teaches quantitative business courses at the 300- and 400- levels. He is also a doctoral candidate with the Godbold College of Business in the Doctor of Business Administration program with a concentration in economics.

Other teaching experiences includes serving as a Math 1 instructor for Mallard Creek STEM Academy, teaching the high school-level math course to 8th graders. Prior to his career change to education during the COVID-19 pandemic, Professor Scott worked in several international organizations in management and training roles. These companies included Yum! Brands, Inc., M.H. Alshaya Company, and Carrols Corporation. He has lived and worked in Kuwait and Italy. He holds the right to live and work in the United States and the European Union.
